Our single-level home is designed for residents' comfort
and boasts a warm family atmosphere. Bedrooms - private
and shared - are attractively decorated and feature
en-suite bathrooms. Residents can socialize and enjoy
visits with family and friends or relax on glider swings
and benches in the park next to the home. Our residents
enjoy watching neighbourhood children in the playground
across the street.
Kentwood Park enjoys strong community support. Based
on our belief that residents continue to be valued citizens,
we encourage them to take part in the life of Picton
and invite local townspeople to become involved in our
home. Our outings include picnics, Thousand Islands
boat cruises, camping swimming and country drives. Our
dedicated volunteers add much to the good times we have
at summer barbecues, birthday parties, musical programs,
holiday dinners and celebrations. Children, local entertainers
and clergy visit us regularly.
We continually strive to exceed the expectations of
individuals and communities we are privileged to serve.
Our commitment to every resident and to those significant
in their lives is to respect and value every individual
and provide an environment which facilitates a purposeful
and peaceful lifestyle and supports the quality of life
residents are entitled to enjoy.
Our residents are valued members of Kentwood Park's
management team. Our Residents Council provides the
opportunity for residents and their family members to
participate in planning and evaluating the services
in the home and supports a strong line of communication
between residents and administration.

Letter: Kentwood
provides
'love, understanding
and compassion' An open letter to Kentwood
Park:
Please share with the staff at Kentwood my sincere
thanks and appreciation for the care and concern
shown to my mother, Evelene Scott, throughout
the years she was a resident and in particular
during her last days.
All those who were involved daily
with her care in the last 10 days were dedicated
to her many needs, her comfort and well-being.
Staff members not directly working with mother
showed their concern and all were kind and considerate.
I’m happy that mother lived
at Kentwood. You do give residents a sense of
hope, purpose and belonging but maybe more importantly
you provide love, understanding and compassion
during those final hours.
